چکیده
The paper considers the visco-elastic response of ice cover in a channel under an external load moving with constant speed along center line. has rectangular cross-section finite depth and width. fluid is inviscid incompressible its motion potential. covered by thin sheet frozen to walls. thickness varies linearly symmetrically across channel, being lowest at highest Ice deflections strains are independent time coordinate system load. problem solved numerically using Fourier transform method normal modes channel. series coefficients for determined truncation resulting infinite systems linear algebraic equations. plate investigated compared case mean thickness. It shown that even small variation significantly changes characteristics hydroelastic waves

15 صفحه اولcritical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language
since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

15 صفحه اولSteady Motion of Ice Sheets
Steady plane flow under gravity of a symmetric ice sheet resting on a horizontal rigid bed, subject to surface accumulation and ablation, basal drainage, and basal sliding according to a shear-tractionvelocity power law, is treated . The surface accumulation is taken to depend on height, and the drainage and sliding coefficient also depend on the height of overlying ice. The ice is described as...
متن کاملSteady-state modeling of a turbocharger in gasoline engines
The gas flow estimation is crucial for the proper operation and monitoring of turbocharged (TC) engines with a torque structured engine control unit (ECU). This paper presents mean value models developed for modeling gas flow over the compressor, the turbine and the wastegate (WG) in a TC gasoline engine not equipped with a hot film air-mass flow meter (HFM). The turbine flow ...
